Cup Round Kicks Off the Season

25 March 2011
The 2011 season kicks off for many of our Hamersley teams on Sunday the 3rd April. Last season our First Team made the Semi-Finals of the Amateur Cup for the third time in four years. Only 1 minute separated the team from another cup-final appearance after our 2007 cup winning year. Our young squad were unlucky to concede a late equaliser and then lose on penalties to Kingsway Olympic.
This season Hamersley Rovers have been drawn away to fellow Division 1 team North Lake who we beat in last years 2nd round of the cup. The Reserves are awarded the same fixture.
Our Amateur Division 5 team has been drawn at home to play fellow Division 5 team Warnbro Strikers with again the reserves playing the same fixture. The game is scheduled to be played at Liddell Park in Girrawheen due to ground maintenance at Carine.
Social One's will also play at Liddell Park after being drawn at home to play Belmont Villa SC. The Masters North Div 3 team will play Brooklands FC. The Ladies have a tough game away to Woodvale Division 1.
